What's ESS?

ESS stands for Englsih Speaking Society. We are a high school club here in Oita, Japan. ESS is a great group of kids who really like English and are interested in communicating with people from other countries.

About the coordinators

My name is Mike. I come from the United States. I'm one of the foreign teachers coordinating the ESS club.

The other teacher is Peter. He's from Canada. He's a great guy with lots of energy.

Our job is to give the kids something to talk about, in English, of course. Right now, I'll be doing most of the webpage stuff. If you see anything wrong or have any problems navigating this site, let me know. I'm only human so there's bound to be a mistake from time to time.

We've made this site in hopes of contacting other students around the world. If you speak English and are interested in exchanging email, let us know. We'd love to hear from you. At the bottom of each page is our email address. You can either send me, Mike, an email or send it to a student. Either way, we'll contact you and set something up.
